Maverick Translations The starring Mavericks have been a staple of every X game. In fact, it's not a stretch to say that they're just as much the stars as X, Zero, and Sigma are. But with nearly every game comes the folly of name translations. Most of the Japanese names were changed, possibly due to concern that their names would be too complicated or difficult to pronounce. Granted, some of the Japanese names sound really cool, while others just sound weird. Below is a compilation of all of the Maverick names throughout the X series; both their Japanese names, and their translated counterparts.   Note that there are no X6 Mavericks listed. That's because due to the rush in translating X6, all of the Mavericks in that game retained their original names.
